Our Foster Program

It's a wonderful feeling to rescue an animal from homelessness, neglect, or one who has not felt the compassion of human touch until it was fostered by you.  Witnessing the evolution of a "pound dog" to a "found dog" is a truly rewarding experience.  Please don't say no because you feel you'll never be able to give your foster up. Of course you will form a bond, but foster families keep in touch with adoptive families and receive photos and updates too!  As a foster you'll save a life - you will be the bridge, the escort from their past to their future.   You're even welcome to help choose the perfect match for your foster dog.  When you foster, we provide the supplies, you provide the love. If you would like to help with food and toys for your foster dog, it's always appreciated.  If not, you will be reimbursed or those materials will be supplied to you in advance of your foster's arrival.

You are always free to network your foster dog in any way you wish.   Our dogs are given exposure through popular adoption sites and our Pound Dog*Found Dog Facebook page.   Your own networking will also garner more attention for them.

All of our foster parents can attest to the fact that fostering is a rewarding, positive, and life-changing experience and that you'll be making a huge difference to the dogs in your care.
